From routine wellness exams to advanced diagnostics and surgical procedures, we tailor our services to meet the unique needs of each pet. Under the leadership of Dr. Lewis since October 2020, we continue to uphold our tradition of excellence in veterinary care. Explore our services below to learn how we can support your pet’s health and happiness throughout every stage of their life.

Dentistry

We love teeth, and we love keeping your pet's mouth healthy! We offer routine dental care, cleanings for geriatric patients, tooth extractions, and advanced oral procedures such as full mouth extractions for feline stomatitis, and oral fistula repair. We do require an exam prior to scheduling for a dental procedure and will give you an estimate at that time.

Dermatology

One of the most common problems we see every day is itching/allergies. We offer several diagnostic services in-house to help you diagnose and manage your pet's allergies, such as skin cytology, ear cytology, and skin scrapes. We also can facilitate allergy testing in coordination with an offsite laboratory. Depending on what your pet is allergic to, we can have allergy drops (immunotherapy) created to help manage their allergies long-term.

Please visit https://www.heska.com/product/allercept-testing/ to read more about allergy testing and immunotherapy.

Radiology

We offer digital radiology, which produces extreme detail and clarity, for better visualization of internal structures. This also allows us to quickly email images to specialists for consultations, second opinions, and referrals.

Laboratory Services

Over your pet's lifetime, it is likely they will have at least one major medical issue. Common medical issues include:

  • Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD)
  • Diabetes
  • Hyperadrenocorticism (Cushing's Disease)
  • Hypoadrenocorticism (Addison's Disease)
  • Hyperthyroid (Cat)
  • Hypothyroid (Dog)
  • Epilepsy and Seizure disorders.

We have an advanced in-house laboratory that allows us to do many of the diagnostics needed to diagnose these conditions the same day as your appointment. If there are any additional tests needed that cannot be performed in house, we will send samples to an outside laboratory (biopsies, cytologies, ear or urine cultures).

Advanced Parasite Screening

We offer state-of-the-art fecal testing using an in-house Vetscan Imagyst machine. We are excited to offer this as an extremely accurate way of checking for intestinal parasites. Please read more about it at https://www.vetscanimagyst.com/

Heartworm and Tickborne Disease Testing

We are able to perform complete testing for heartworm and three types of tickborne diseases (Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis, and Lyme disease). This is a fast and easy test that takes only 8 minutes! It is part of our yearly exam and routine wellness visits.

Health Certificates

Dr. Lewis is USDA Class 1 certified and can do companion animal health certificates for both domestic and foreign travel. If you are planning on traveling abroad with your pet, please call to schedule an appointment at least 3-6 months prior to your departure date.
